New Album « Wise Animals » on December 2024
Tony Paeleman approaches this new opus with the desire to create an artistic piece that resonates far beyond music alone. To this end, he summons his trio born with The Fuse in 2021, album warmly wecomed at the time.
His new album conveys contrasting and sometimes opposing emotions, singing of the beauty of nature and the animal world, which moves and profoundly touches the heart. At the same time, it expresses a fear of the destruction of this beauty, the looming extinction of these species—a kind of pre-emptive nostalgia for a world collapsing under humanity’s unbridled, unconscious activity.
For Tony, the animal world could teach us a form of wisdom that Human kind seems to have lost. Wise Animals is a bestiary, each track being an ode to an animal species. His very personnal Noah’s Ark…
On stage, Wise Animals takes on the dimension of a real show, whose stakes, beyond the remarkable instrumental performance and breathtaking interaction of a trio in full maturity, are a deep and lively reflection on the world in motion.
