With their new trio project ‘Vibe Factor’, Diego Piñera, Omar Sosa and Joo Kraus embark on an extraordinary musical journey that takes them to the four corners of the world.

‘Vibe Factor’ is a magical trio; you can really feel the flow, the shared vibrations – the alchemy is there! Together, they try new things, improvise, mix roles and concoct colourful new recipes. They use electronic instruments, a grand piano among them, Uruguayan drums and polyrhythms, building bass and drum sounds with the trumpet. Good humour and groovy vibes that invite you to have fun, dance, and always make you smile. All these ingredients and experiences form the trio’s creative, multi-genre sound and contagious energy. The result of these musical recipes is a colourful mix, a musical firework display that explodes in a thousand colours – exciting, varied, modern and electrifying. From calm and sensuality to power, spice, dynamism and complexity, dynamic and complex. Depending on which way the wind blows, the shared journey takes place in the most diverse spheres.

Omar Sosa

A Cuban pianist and composer who has been nominated for several Grammy Awards, Omar Sosa is recognised as one of the great voices of contemporary Afro-Cuban jazz. A tireless musical explorer, he blends Cuban traditions, African rhythms, jazz, electronic music and world music. His projects, whether solo or with other musicians, are distinguished by their spiritual energy and constant openness to dialogue between cultures.

Diego Piñera

Originally from Uruguay, drummer and composer Diego Piñera has built an international reputation thanks to his mastery of polyrhythms and his inventive playing. Trained in Montevideo, Boston and Havana, he has developed a unique language that combines Latin traditions, modern jazz and sound experimentation. Based in Germany, he collaborates with numerous European and South American musicians, asserting a style that is as refined as it is daring.

Joo Kraus

German trumpeter and composer Joo Kraus is an eclectic musician known for his warm tone and creativity. After making his mark on the jazz, funk and hip-hop scenes with his band Kraan and his collaborations with Tab Two, he has been involved in a number of hybrid projects combining jazz, groove, pop and electronic music. His ability to transform his trumpet into a veritable sound box makes him a unique and inventive partner.
